WE ARE CURRENTLY HIRING FOR " CAMP COUNSELOR" Sell day permits, annual permits, concessions, and bait; operate cash register, count back cash to customers, and end-of-day sales; change minnow tank water daily; administer kayak rentals; stock store shelves and ice bags; inspect and clean bait shop restrooms; empty trash and clean work area daily; attend monthly employee meetings.
Mow and trim park grounds; clean up trash within the park and empty trash receptacles; clean and restock bathrooms; spray for poison ivy; perform various maintenance projects as directed by Maintenance Supervisor, operate power tools & hand tools; participate in landscape projects; minor trail maintenance; assist with kayak rentals .
Camp Counselor ( click for more details )This is a seasonal, temporary position (29hrs/wk for 6 weeks). Camp hours are M-F 8:00am to 1:00pm from May 28-Jun 29. We are looking for Day Camp Counselors who are experience at leading children, as well as confident in outdoor environments.
Areas we are actively searching for skilled program staff are: wildlife and aquatic conservationsm, outdoor living and skills, adventure sports (disc golf, mountain biking), citizen science, art instruction, and engineering design and problem-solving. Location: Eastside of Lake McMurtry, Stillwater OK Greet and assist visitors – the most important responsibility you will have is to provide quality customer service. We require good people skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to defuse potentially confrontational situations. Answer questions and explain rules & regulations, distribute maps and informational brochures, direct visitors to appropriate destinations, be familiar with the area – be able to give information to visitors about local tourist attractions, events, grocery stores, gas stations, etc. Light maintenance around campground – picking up litter, cleaning out fire rings, washing tables, cleaning & stocking restrooms, etc. Be the liaison between park visitors and park staff – notify when trees need to be trimmed, comments from visitors (positive or negative), trail maintenance, etc.
